Trackmania Nations Forever Wrapper update!

We all agree that a full game download is better then a Steam wrapper which can cause issues. Besides that the latest wrapper had a sound issue (Engine sound of the car was gone). So I relooked into the matter and made the game non-steam again and fixed the problem with sound and kept the fix intact of the slowdown after one race on Nvidia cards. Played about 20 races without any slowdowns and with sound FX :) Enjoy the new wrapper with TM Nations Forever pre-installed!

Changes:
– Fixed sound FX issue
– A full game download once again
– Fixed slowdowns after one race for Nvidia cards.

Titan Quest Wrapper update!

There were some issues with the last wrapper of Titan Quest, I hope they are fixed for everyone now with this new wrapper. On My AMD Radeon this wrapper works awesome! The (few) graphic glitches which were in the old wrapper are gone here and I played 30 minutes without any trouble (except dying a couple of times in the game :P), if you already own the game and experienced some issues get this wrapper straight away, and if you didn’t knew the game was ported, get Titan Quest on Gamersgate right away (75% off right now!!!!) and install it into the wrapper!

Changes:
– Fixed glitches (on AMD Radeon at least)
– Should resolve the crashes as well some Macs experienced.
– New Paulthetall.com branded Icon

New video Planetside 2!

New video Planetside 2!

As already mentioned earlier, the old video (of yesterday) of Planetside 2 had a volume issue. The voice of Ian was hardly to hear. That is why he made a new one and that one is available now on youtube, on the Planetside 2 game page and on this blog. Enjoy! I will make another video of the gameplay of Rome Total War 2 tonight so you can see the nice gameplay of the game.

Gatekeeper Security reminder Mavericks OSX!

Gatekeeper Security reminder Mavericks OSX!

I am making this post after some emails I got from users which got the message that they cannot open the specific wrapper after updating to OSX Mavericks because it is downloaded from an “unidentified developer”.

To solve this matter simply change the following setting in the security & privacy preferences on your Mac to allow applications to be downloaded anywhere. See also screenshot below. You can get to those security settings by navigating to the apple symbol in the left upper corner. Then go to preferences, and then to the “Security & Privacy” symbol/option. There you can change the setting to “anywhere”. When you changed this setting you will be able to download and open all wrappers again from my site. Sad Apple brings this confusion and is trying to create a kinda monopoly position to only download apps from the appstore or partners. In my opinion there should be an “always allow” option posibility when downloading an app, instead of blocking it straight away. I also put this matter on the FAQ  now people who run into this in the future and didn’t read this post.

Planetside 2 for the Mac!

Great news, Ian Pickert already had a close watch on the progress of the game and now we have a quite stable wrapper with descent performance. A lot of people requested this game and I am happy this one is finally available here. One little note: The video volume is very low, so you need to put it on high and still it will be not very loud. Ian is making a new video so, I will put it online at once when the video is done. Meanwhile you can still follow-up the visual instructions ;).

Planetside 2 is a Massive online first person shooter. Battles take place not between dozens of troops, but thousands; with air and ground vehicles slugging it out alongside squads of troops. Whether in open fields, tightly packed urban centers or enormous structures, planning, teamwork and communication are essential. PlanetSide 2 features incredible continent maps with dozens of square kilometers of seamless gameplay space; every inch of which is hand-crafted, contestable space. With the territorial control meta-game, landmass has intrinsic value.

Rome Total War 2 for the Mac!

On many requests, here finally is Rome Total War 2.  Total War Rome II is one of the best strategy games around. Its the follow-up of Rome Total War, which is already released for Mac. For Rome Total War good system specs are required, a 256 GFX card will simply not do. Minimum requirements are a 512MB GFX card and at least 4 GB internal memory (8GB highly recommended). I played with my Nvidia GT 640m 512MB graphicscard and 8 GB ram and with those specs its running quite good on medium settings and in 1920×1080 resolution. I played a historical battle and a campaign for an hour where I fought 4 battles without any problems.

The award-winning Total War series returns to Rome, setting a brand new quality benchmark for Strategy gaming. Become the world’s first superpower and command the Ancient world’s most incredible war machine. Dominate your enemies by military, economic and political means. Your ascension will bring both admiration and jealousy, even from your closet allies.
