La-Mulana (2005) for the Mac!

As a start for today I have created a CrossTie for the free game: La-Mulana (2005)! La Mulana is a old fashion like platform game, which looks quite simular as Kings Valley 2. The developers of the game wanted to bring the good old gameplay back to the PC, and now also for the Mac.  The game works great using Crossover! Use the Crosstie on the gamepage to let it automaticly download and install the game into crossover. Watch the video below to catch up good old times! Enjoy!

La-Mulana is a free-roaming platformer game designed to look, sound, and play like a classic MSX game. The game is huge, with many different areas to explore and dozens of items and weapons to find. Each area has a large variety of puzzles and traps (many of them quite fiendish) and you need to solve the puzzles in each area to discover the Ankhs and Ankh Jewels, which allow you to fight the eight Guardians of the ruins.

Wine 1.7.11 Released!

Wine 1.7.11 is released last friday! Altough my primairy focus is not Wineskin anymore but Crossover, Wine is still the sourcecode where it is all about and will be iplanted in Crossover soon as well. And if you have of games and want to see if there are some improvements with the latest WineEngine then this news might be worthwhile. The wine version will be buildt in an engine and will be available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to buildt all my wrappers for this website. Because the new Wine is just released, the engine itself is not available yet in Winery, but will be added soon by Doh123 (Wineskin developer). Main focus has been especially fonts fixes/improvements. Besides that there are some more d3d improvements as well.  See more details below and on Winehq.

The Wine development release 1.7.11 is now available.

What’s new in this release:

  • Uniscribe support in the RichEdit control.
  • Support for condition variables and Slim Reader/Writer locks.
  • More D3D command stream preparation work.
  • Optional Start Menu in desktop mode.
  • Improved support for vertical fonts metrics.

It is a time of war. Galbadia, a Global Superpower, has declared war on Dollet, a country whose training academy is home to two personalities: the hot-headed Seifer and the ‘lone wolf’, Squall Leonhart. However, a chance encounter with the free-spirited Rinoa Heartilly turns Squall’s universe upside down; having thrived on discipline, Squall find the carefree Rinoa fascinating. He also begins to dream that he is Laguna Loire, a Galbadian army soldier…

Domination (Risk Board Game) for Mac!

Two or maybe more things for today! Lets start with this free game Domination. Domination is a free java based “Risk” board game. It is normally also available for Mac, but I couldn’t get it working easily because all the actions you have to do on the Mac. When using the the CrossTie in Crossover, it will auto install and create a shortcut. in the menu, so that is much easier. So thats why I thought let’s make a CrossTie for that game as well. Its free, so why not ;). Enjoy!

Domination is a game that is a bit like the well known board game of Risk or RisiKo. It has many game options and includes many maps. Written in java it includes a map editor, a simple map format, multiplayer network play, single player, hotseat, 5 user interfaces and many more features.
