CrossTie video Free/Demo games!

Now we have a  Gamersgate games CrossTie instruction, I thought, let’s do the Free/Demo games CrossTie instruction as well. So here we are! This video will be on all Free/Demo “Crossover ready” game pages, which will explain you in simple steps how this simple procedure works. Enjoy the video!

You can find this video in the Crossover Video Tutorial page as well.

CrossTie Video Gamergate games!

We have a CrossTie video for Steam games and for games, which ones do we miss? Gamersgate games and Free/Demo games and Shinyloot games. Well, we have not much shinyloot games so that instruction video will follow later. Gamersgate games however are a mayority on this website so, it would be logic to have a CrossTie video about that one. So I created an instruction video for that and this video you canl find now on all “Crossover ready” game pages where Gamersgate games are involved.

You can find this video in the Crossover Video Tutorial page as well.

Dungeon Keeper 2 for the Mac!

Everyone can say much about older games, but I have to say newer games aren’t always better. I can say even better, there are older games which cannot be beaten by any new games yet. For example, yesterday I spent most of my evening (which was not meaned to :P)  with an golden oldie “Civilization“. Loved that game in the past and I have to watch out that it consumes much time from me :P

Today another very popular golden oldie called: Dungeon Keeper 2. This game (although not my personal taste of games) is the predecessor of Dungeon Keep (Gold), which is now released for the Mac on, and where you have to play a dungeon keeper where you have to manage way through all the levels. Check out the gameplay below.

Dungeon Keeper 2 is everything its predecessor was, only better and badder! It is probably one of the most addictive and fun games ever created; with tons of dark humor, smooth gameplay, and high replayability value. In addition to that there is a well designed multiplayer mode and a pet-dungeon module that tests your ability to build the ultimate underground labyrinth filled with traps, wierdos, and other bad looking devices. If you liked Dungeon Keeper you will love this ultimate installment of the Bullfrog series.

Jogobox for Mac basic usage video!

As promised a video about the  basic usage of Jogobox. I will show in this video the install of the program into Crossover and how this amazing program works. The cool thing is that this steam like program requires no registering and is free of charge! So why wait playing those great old and new games!

Check out the video tutorial below or check out the Jogobox project page…

MDK2 for the Mac

Today a very nice port! It works awesome and I was really impressed by this game. I can imagine it was very popular in those days and still is. In  MDK2 you play a super hero and you to fight off aliens and save the world. The game works great in Crossover! Check out the trailer below to get introduced with the game!

All three characters – Kurt, Doctor Hawkins and Max are playable, each has his own levels, powers and items and a completely different gameplay focus. Kurt is about stealth and sniping, the Doctor has a few direct attacks but also has the ability to create items and effects out of simple household objects, while Max is a cigar smoking, quad gun toting demolition squad of a dog.

New Project Feature: JogoBox for the Mac! (Update)

Update: Problem is resolved now, and the updated Crosstie is up as well! A video tutorial of the usage of this great program will be up in a few hours!

[Edit] 14:00 – I put the crosstie offline for a change I made (fix keyboard input issue), needs to be approved again, so Crosstie will be up again in a few hours [edit]

Great news! I already told you that I was working on somthing this weekend and here is the announcement: Jogobox hits the surface! What the heck is JogoBox? Well, they advertise this: Choose from a selection of thousands of free games and play for as long as you like! Whether you prefer racing games, fighting games, puzzle games or girl games, in JogoBox you can quickly find something to your tastes from the different categories. Jogobox not only features the newest browser games, but also fully installable PC games. Whether you are looking for the newest Flash games or want to return to the golden age of classic PC gaming, in Jogobox you’ll find the perfect games and install them in no time.

All the DOS games will work great as well for most Windows games mentioned there. However, a few games might need a proper setup, for those games will be a seperate CrossTie in the future. Because this only counts for a couple of the games and the rest just runs awesome, you can use the main program for almost all games!

I created for this program a special page: “JogoBox Games” which you can find under the top bar menu named: “Projects”. You can get this Jogobox running using Crossover. I made a CrossTie for it which is online now as well. Have fun with this awesome program as I have now!

New Video Tutorial Section.

New Video Tutorial Section.

Because Crossover will be the basic app to use, it is of course nice to have a place where you can find the video tutorials (Thanks Katakis). Well I created the section “Crossover Video Tutorials” on the “FAQ” submenu in the top bar of the website. At the moment it will contain 3 videos: Basic Crossover Tutorial, How to install Steam games using CrossTies, and How to install GOG games using Crossties.

In this section more videos will follow shortly about how to install Gamersgate games using CrossTies and about some specific Crossover features. Enjoy watching!

Forum Change will be implanted

Forum Change will be implanted

As you have might figured out, the forums has been a victim of massive spam attacks no matter how I secure the the whole thing, they keep coming! So because this banning and deleting and stuff takes much time and while I am migrating the game pages to Crossover anyway I will change strategy in this part as well. I will create links on the game pages migrated to Crossover, to the specific game forum on Crossover. take for example: Enemy Engaged: Comache vs Hokum, you will notice in the “aditional port infomation” the new line “technical support” with a link to the specific Crossover game forum. This week I will try to do this on all 105 migrated game pages I created thus far. In the end, when all game port pages (about 600, native Mac games are not included in that number) are migrated to Crossover, the forum will be closed.

What about Wineskin wrapper and other non Crossover questions? in those cases you can use the email adres mentioned on the contact page. I will try to answer those emails as soon as I can. Thanks in advance for the understanding.
