Site is moved, image problems Fixed!

Problem fixed!! Enjoy the site!

Ok guys, site is moved now and there is a massive speed increase, as on browsing the website as in WordPress itself. That’s awesome news. However, there are still image issues. All images won’t show. This means Paypal buttons are gone (accept for the text), Screenshots and even the captcha image on the contact form…

We are working hard to resolve the issue, so please hang on a little longer until the issues are resolved. Thanks!

Contact Form fixed!

Contact Form fixed!

Good news. Contact form is fixed again. Seemed that mails went automatically to the Spam folder :p This Spam folder was hidden, so thats why I didn’t figure that out earlier. Anyway, with this out of the way everyone can use the contact form again :) Sorry for the trouble!

Remember when using the contact form, to make sure you fill in as much info about the specific subject as possible. When it is a technical problem, always attach Graphics Card info + OSX version + clear explanation where it go’s wrong + the steps you already have taken. This saves me a lot of work and for you to have it resolved way quicker. Thanks!

Zork Grand Inquisitor for the Mac!

Do you know the old Zork games? Well, once you step through the door to Zork, you leave the world of arcade games and trite fantasies behind and enter the dimension of your imagination. Every plot, every puzzle, every personality has been honed and perfected to make your experience uniquely realistic and involving. Zork Grand Inquisitor, is and adventure game where you have to solve puzzles and  laugh your ass out with all the funny things implanted in the game. I created a Wrapper and a CrossTie for the game. For the CrossTie you have to wait one more day, will be approved tomorrow. I couldn’t find a descent game play trailer so I put in a screenshot. Enjoy!

Zork: Grand Inquisitor is the last installment of the famous Zork adventure series. It uses the same formula as its predecessor: first-person perspective, 360 degree camera rotation, pre-rendered backgrounds, and live actors. Humor and comical pop-culture references accompany you throughout the entire game and guarantee that you will never get bored. So if you are looking for a not so serious oldschool adventure then this gem is for you.

Download the Wrapper and CrossTie on the game page here…

Rome Total War: Alexander released for the Mac!

Great news, I remembered in the past that someone asked me to port the Windows version of Rome Total War so he would be able to play Alexander as well. Well, this isn’t needed anymore! Because since a few days Rome: Total War – Alexander (Mac) is been natively released for the Mac! This Mac expansion is now available on Gamersgate and requires the original Rome: Total War Gold Edition (Mac) game in order to play it. If you don’t remember the game, then let the trailer below refresh your mind :)

Rome: Total War: Alexander is the second expansion for Rome: Total War. It is set in an earlier time period, putting the player in the role of Alexander the Great. It begins with Alexander’s ascension to the Macedonian throne in 336 BC and lasts for 100 turns, each of which, unlike the original game and the first expansion, Barbarian Invasion, do not represent six months (assuming that it follows Alexander’s actual reign of thirteen years, each turn would represent nearly seven weeks). The game is much the same as the original Rome: Total War, but with fewer factions, different units, and a different map. The player’s goal is to conquer 30 provinces, including key cities such as Tyre, Halicarnassus and Babylon, within the 100 turn limit.

I created a game page on the site for this expansion here…

Website will will be moved to faster Webserver!

Website will will be moved to faster Webserver!

Here the announcement that the website will be moved to faster Webserver. I made a huge mistake for choosing the lowest cost virtual server on Strato. Will move now to way better/faster and unfortunately way more expensive VPS hosting. Although you may think the speed of the site itself was quite doable for most of the time, I myself had way trouble in WordPress itself. I have about 1000 game pages and loads of posts, and when loading pages, editing pages, creating posts, creating pages, takes ages for me. Also lots of kick-outs. Trying to cache the site and many other plugins tested and cleaning up plugins as well resulted in only some speed increase of browsing the site, but not in WordPress itself.

Because what I earlier did in 10 minutes costs now more then an hour + lots of frustration, I move to this faster server. Also having in mind that the new features will be implanted as well, this is a necessary update. So, coming week will be the week of the truth. So here also counts, when pages are not loading well, error pages or even page cannot be displayed. Keep in mind we are working on the site to become a better place in the end :) Thanks in advance for your patience.
