As promised a re-release of the Wrapper of the game Pirates of the Caribbean for Mac. Go on adventure as Captain Nathaniel Hawk and fulfill your quests! This tutorial is for the CD version of the game and works fine. The video tutorial I put below is a very old one from the old days :) So don’t look at the graphics of the site, but use it purely for the installation process which is still the same. It is written down below as well. Have fun!

Then download and extract Wrapper below –> put CD 1 of the Windows game in the drive or use an external CD drive –> double-click wrapper –> install windows software –> navigate to the setup file of the CD and double-click on it –> then the install wizard will appear –> install the game –> at the end select Config.exe (when asked) and click “Exit”. Now double-click the wrapper to open the config window of the game and play! Have fun!

Pirates of the Caribbean is an action role-playing game in which the player, as Captain Nathaniel Hawk, goes on a series of quests for any one of the countries that control the islands of the Caribbean in the 17th Century. The player can buy new ships, recruit a crew and hire officers who will follow Hawk on his quest and help him in battle. The game features gameplay that takes place both on land and at sea, and allows the player to upgrade their character by earning skill points and gain new abilities.

A new Wine version is out on WineHQ since last Friday! The wine version is now build in an engine and is available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to build all my Wrappers for this website. See more details below and on WineHQ.

You can change the wine engine in existing Wrappers doing: Right-click Wrapper –> show package content –> wineskin –. advanced –> tools –> change engine –> change it to the latest engine you downloaded, in this case 1.7.25.

The Wine development release 1.7.25 is now available.

What’s new in this release:

  • Implementation of the packet capture library.
  • A few more DirectWrite functions.
  • Improvements in HTML table support.

Shadowgate for Mac is now released on Gamersgate! Shadowgate seems to be a very popular adventure game from the Nintendo 64. Maybe the trailer below will explain more about the game then I can tell. Enjoy!

Shadowgate is one of the most well-known and beloved  point-and-click adventure titles in gaming history. As one of the original titles in the popular MacVenture series that went on to be  celebrated on the NES, GBC and Nintendo 64, Shadowgate quickly  endeared players with its fantastic atmospheric soundtrack, perilous  locations to progress through, countless puzzles to solve, and more ways  to gruesomely die than gamers previously thought possible. Thrust into  the role of “The Seed of Prophecy,” players travel deep into the living  castle, in hopes of defeating the evil that dwells within – the dreaded  Warlock Lord.

Nothing beats the competitive feel of racing. Feel the thrill as you race past your opponent, slam their car into a water trap, and beat them by a bumper to the finish line. You won’t want to finish because Wacky Wheels is too exciting: avoiding the obstacles, knocking against opponents, launching your weapons against them, beating them to the short cuts, engaging turbo mode on the straightaway, using your hand brake to skillfully hug tight corners without spinning out, and hitting jumps with perfect timing so that you sail above and past your opponents while executing a perfect 360 rotation in midair!

The Hugo Trilogy released for Mac!

Anyone who enjoyed the old-skoolread more Sierra & Lucas Arts graphic adventures should give Hugo Trilogy a try! Take Hugo through an animated “classic” style adventure, solving puzzles, finding hidden objects and outwitting the maniac hosts of the haunted house to rescue Hugo’s sweetheart Penelope. Use the intuitive point & click mouse interface to move around and get Hugo to do your bidding.
