Planet Alcatraz for Mac!

Another RPG game today in the way of the Fallout series called Planet Alcatraz. I got the game running in the Portingkit very nicely. I tested the game on my Nvidia 640M iMac and it works great! Played about half an hour without issues. The game is added to the Portingkit now. Check out the video below for the instructions and some game-play!

Planet Alcatraz is a 3D role playing game with isometric projection. The player travels through the game world and battles with enemies in the real-time mode. In a general sense Planet Alcatraz can be portrayed as a non-linear adventure with lots of shooting. Several genres are mixed in this game but despite that fact it doesn’t stand stuck between them and appears to be a classical RPG that is based on a specially developed system.

Simply download the Portingkit (if you don’t have it already) and go to the library –> server tab and select the “Planet Alcatraz” game and click download. If you don’t own the game yet the Portingkit can direct you to the game page where to purchase it and download the setup/download file into your download folder. Wine 1.7.37 released!

Wine 1.7.37 is released yesterday evening! The wine version will be build in an engine and will be available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I use Winery to build all my wrappers for this website. Because the new Wine is just released, the engine itself is not available yet in Winery, but will be added soon by Doh123 (Wineskin developer).

What’s new in this release:

  • Interface change notifications.
  • Support for the UTF-7 encoding.
  • A number of graphical fixes for themed controls.
  • Wininet now implemented on top of Win32 sockets.
  • Various bug fixes.
