Ultimate General: Gettysburg is a Tactical Battle Simulator that allows you to lead thousands of soldiers in the famous Battle of Gettysburg as commander of either the Union or Confederate army. The game features the most accurately created map, complex morale, innovative control mechanics and smart AI. You have the freedom to use different strategies while the battle progresses. Your decisions and military performance play a crucial role in the result. Lead your army and win the Battle of Gettysburg!
Simple and great. Ultimate General Gettysburg succeeds in what others (PC-) wargames often fail greatly : Being fairly easy to grasp but on the other hand accurately simulating the matter. Due to the impressive and scalable AI and you have a game that is playable by beginners and old grognards as well. The graphics are a mix of a fairly beautiful 2d map plus sprites for the soldiers. Don’t let this description fool you : The game looks gorgeous and I never missed the fancy Total War graphics. UG: Gettysburg doesn’t offer a strategic campaign like TW though, but slices the three Days of Gettysburg in several scenarios.
Finally another game port :) after a busy period in my private life here another game port of one of the latest indie games.
Professional assassin turned amateur campaign manager Steve is charged with cleaning up the city by an anthropomorphic rabbit and mayoral candidate from the future named BunnyLord. Now Steve and his expanding roster of dubious heroes must wield their unique skills to shoot, slide, dive, and take cover behind a political platform built on ethics, accountability, and an inordinate amount of gunfire. I tested Not a Hero and works even on my Intel HD 5000 and played 2 levels without any issues. Below some visuals of the game.
Simply download the Portingkit (if you don’t have it already) and go to the library –> server tab and select the “Not a Hero” and click download. If you don’t own the game yet the Portingkit can direct you to the game page where to purchase it and download the setup/download file into your download folder. When you clicked “no” and were directed to the game page, you have to click “download” again and then click “yes” so the Portingkit will install the game for you. After installation the Portingkit will say the installation was done successfully. Then go to your “local” tab where you can select the game and click “play”!
Nice one! This are the kind of adventures I personally really like! Subject 13 is the new adventure game developed by Paul Cuisset—the man behind “Flashback”, “Future Wars: Adventures in Time” and “Moto Racer”—in partnership with Microïds. Play as Franklin Fargo, a quiet physics professor who has led a bitter existence ever since his fiancée died in a holdup in which he was supposed to be the victim. One morning, he wakes up in the middle of an abandoned scientific facility. His only link with the outside world is a voice that calls him “Subject 13”. This game is released now on GOG.com and is 35% the first week! Check out the trailer below to see some visuals of the game.
Subject 13 will make you travel from a secret base that has been abandoned to a strange and mysterious island, and in other places, so you can discover the real story. You’ll have to muster all your insight and intelligence for this daunting challenge.
Convoy is a tactical roguelike-like inspired by Mad Max and FTL in which you cross a wasteland in search of parts for your broken ship. The game is now released on GOG.com and is priced $14,99. The celebrate the new release, the game is discounted 25% for the first week. Check the trailer below to get introduced to the game.
Presented in pixel art and set in a future post-apocalyptic setting, Convoy is a squad based tactical roguelike-like in its core. You travel with your combat vehicles and convoy across a wasteland to find parts needed to repair your broken spaceship. During your journey you will encounter strangers in randomized scenarios by picking up radio signals.
Depending on the choices you make, signals can either lead to tactical combat, text based dialogue or chance based role-play. Whatever choice you make, you need to keep your convoy and its cargo safe from raiders, privateers and other enemies. Keep upgrading your vehicles, as death is permanent in Convoy.
Prehistoric is a humorous game, full of secrets, hidden levels, alternative routes, and interesting interactions. This is a game in which you have to explore and discover what is possible, even if the possibilities are a little absurd (hitting in the air with your club reveals hidden bonuses and paths, jumping on animals helps you to get access to areas that are hard to reach). This golden oldie game pack (Prehistorik 1 + 2) is now released on GOG.com for Mac and priced at only $5,99!
Prehistorik, a member of the T-Bone Tribe, is hungry and ready for a bronco lunch! Armed with Diner-Club, his faithful frazzler, he sets off on his food-spotting expedition. Follow Prehistorik from the unexplored ice-fields of Antarctica, the darkend mysterious caverns of the shady continent to the lush jungles of the Tropics.
Three years after the events of Cyberia, Zak wakes up from a cryo-sleep, only to find out that his mission is not over yet. There is a new deadly weapon developed from the remains of the Cyberia project. There is a new fanatic leader who will stop at nothing to gain absolute control over humanity… Zak must put his cyberhero skills to the ultimate test! This great classic is re-released now on GOG.com and priced $5,99 and also available for Mac! Check out the game trailer below of this golden oldie.
Randomized gameplay – so it’s never the same game twice.
Action that moves… you can’t just shoot your way out of this.
Blackout-inducing G-force flying and driving, but don’t just hang on or you won’t make it.
Stay out of the light to avoid the attention of deadly security robots! Leap like a lusty salmon to avoid those zap-happy lasers! Think fast as the walls close in around you! Only the fastest and sneakiest will make it to the exit without being mangled by the facility’s security systems. Will you be among them? I tested Stealth Bastards Deluxe and works even on my Intel HD 5000 and played about 5 levels without any issues. Below some visuals of the game.
Simply download the Portingkit (if you don’t have it already) and go to the library –> server tab and select the “Stealth Bastards Deluxe” and click download. A lot of good old games are added at the moment. Last post about added games to Portingkit were a lot of Nordic games. Here are some more for the GOG.com version. This means that the Gamersgate WSI/download file was already present, but now the GOG.com version is added for the same game as well. I did that for the games Aquanox, Aquanox 2.
Then here some “new” games I added to Portingkit. First to make the Black Mirror series complete: Black Mirror 3 is added. I also added most of the King’s Quest series starting with Kings Quest I Remake (the original Mac version crashes on start-up). In the same post I added links to the 2 other King’s Quest remakes with a working Mac version.
Then I added also Kings Quest IV, King’s Quest V and King’s Quest VI which comes in one package from GOG.com. They all have separate WSI/Download files because they have separate installer files. Enjoy!
Get the free Portingkit (if you don’t have it yet) up here…
Walk the thin blue line in four of the most realistic crime games ever created, packed with complex storylines and real-life mysteries that only a handful of real police officers ever face – or solve. You don’t just watch the action – you’re in the thick of it. Yes, the Police Quest collection is added in the Portingkit! This means you will find Police Quest, Police Quest 2, Police Quest 3 and Police Quest 4 in the game list. All 4 games have their own download (WSI) in the Portingkit because those games have their own installer file on GOG.com. I added a game-play video below of Police Quest 4. Enjoy this nice adventure collection!
Simply download the Portingkit (if you don’t have it already) and go to the library –> server tab and select on of the Police Quest games of the “Police Quest collection” and click download.
Take control of Invisible’s agents in the field and infiltrate the world’s most dangerous corporations. Stealth, precision, and teamwork are essential in high-stakes, high-profit missions, where every move may cost an agent their life. This strategy game is now released on GOG.com, get it 10% off the first week. Check out the trailer below for some game-play.
Start with any of the 10 unlockable agents in the game, plus 6 agent variants, and 6 starting programs to crack corporate security. Each play through is different as you create your own strategy using agents, items, augments and programs, and adapt to your surroundings. Locations, threats, and loot are randomly generated so each play-through is vastly different and you’ll never get complacent.
For all the (Windows) Steam games you own try use one of the 8 Steam Wrapper builds available in the Portingkit.
No guarantees that all games work. But the Steam games you will find on this website should work with one of them. If you notice a game which work great and isn't listed on this site let me know, so I can add the game in the list.
