Battlefield 1942 (Origin) for Mac
While Origin is working back again in the latest engine, I am testing the Origin games one by one if they all still work, so that’s why I post the games one by one, with an “ok” that I tested them. So today the green light for Battlefield 1942! Yep it’s right, that game isn’t for sale anymore on the EA store, but if you have a legit (unused) battlefield 1942 key then you can add the game in Origin. But also for the people who have battlefield 1942 already in the past, the game can be played again :) I myself love the game and is one of the few games I play once in a while (besides medal of Honor Allied Assault and World of Tanks). Anyhow, have fun!
Origin Client install instructions:
- Get the serial from a Battlefield 1942 cd game (make sure its not used)
- Of course make sure you have Porting Kit and search the game in the database and press “install”
- When the install of the origin client starts it gives a white window for about 20 seconds
before it starts. - After the login window appears (also takes about 10 seconds to appear) close it so install can finish properly
- When after install complete you log into Origin (takes 10 seconds to see the login window), in the settings turn off “in-game origin” (app settings –> more –> in-game origin) before launching a game.
- Video tutorial you can find here… (for Red Alert 2 (Origin) but works the same way)
Game Description:
Armed with the knowledge and experience from the spiritual predecessor Codename Eagle, the studio set out to create the game of their dreams. Building upon and vastly refining the ideas from Codename Eagle, Battlefield 1942 let players engage in infantry combat and get behind the wheel of a variety of vehicles from submarines to battleships and bombers. The game introduced the signature Battlefield rock-paper-scissors gameplay, as well as the exciting “Battlefield Moments” people refer to when talking about their unique and unscripted experiences within the multiplayer game.
