Caesar III port updated to HD remake (compatible with Latest M1/M2 Apple Silicon!)
Great news! Another mod/remake update of an golden oldie city-builder game! This time Caesar 3! I used the “Julius” open source remake project which adds some extra features comparing the original game:
- Support for widescreen resolutions (important for latest M1/M2 Apple Silicon Macs)
- Windowed mode support for 32-bit desktops
- A lot of small in-game quality of life improvements
- Support for the high-quality MP3 files once provided on the Sierra website
For the people who don’t own the game yet, get Caesar 3 from GOG ASAP and download the “Offline backup setup files” and use the port in Porting Kit to get it running on your Mac using the simple install instructions!
