DOS games works great in Crossover!

DOS games works great in Crossover!

Another cool thing about Crossover I found out in  Crossover is DOS games! Where I coulnd’t figure out in Winesskin to make those games work and used Boxer Instead, you can run the games simple as that in Crossover. I haven’t tested all DOS games of course, but the ones I tested from GOG.com are working great! The cool thing is, after installation Crossover will nicely add the shortcuts to the Crossover menu and you can simply launch the game from the menu or make an “alias’ and move it to your game folder to launch it from there! So I will add some more DOS games coming time as well! As a start I added 2 new DOS port tonight: Jagged Alliance Deadly Games and Torins Passage!

The links below are links to the Game pages which include the direct-links to the CrossTies on Crossover. Crossover needs to be pre-installed in order for those CrossTies to work. Check out this video how simple CrossTies work! Enjoy!

Game Description:
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is a first-person slasher with a focus on multi-player. The game is skill-based and controls like a FPS, but instead of guns and grenades, players are given swords, shields, maces, battleaxes and longbows. GTR 2 for the Mac!

Another great racing game is ported and added to the paulthetall.com catalogue using the Crossover application. GTR 2 is created by the developer Simbin Studios, also known from Race 07, and many more. Use this CrossTie to install Steam into Crossover and use the Steam serial to activate the game in Steam and let it download the game and start the fun! Make sure Crossover is installed before downloading/running the CrossTie.

The successor to the international award-winning racing simulation GTR accurately represents the challenges of Motorsport racing. The detailed, photo-realistic depiction of these powerful cars and beautiful circuits, thanks to the graphics technology, and the enhanced driving model will make your adrenaline rise in one of more than one hundred HP-beasts.

If you like the paulthetall.com icons and want to use the GTR 2 icon for your alias shortcut in your game folder, then download the icon here.

Standard video tutorial about: How to install GOG.com games into Crossover using CrossTies.

This video will become the standard video for installing GOG.com games into Crossover using the CrossTie files. This, because all GOG.com installations are basicly the same and will save me a lot of time making videos. This video will be put into the sliders on all the game pages with GOG.com games, if of course there is a CrossTie available for that specific game. Through time this will grow fast in number. I used in the video the CrossTie I created for Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. The tutorial also includes some tips about Crossover itself. Like how to make shortcuts of the games on the desktop or your game folder. Enjoy the video below!

Final Fantasy VII for the Mac!

On request: FINAL FANTASY VII! Tested this very known RPG game using Crossover and it worked great! So if you haven’t  Crossover yet, then sign up here and buy the program or if you want to test it first, for the 14 days trial. “But I have no money” or “I can’t pay for it!” Well then there is a solution and that is to sign up here and then apply as an Advocate. In that case you can use the program free of charge, but you are expected then, to do some testing “being active” for them. When you have Crossover installed; use this CrossTie to install Steam into crossover and launch steam and add the serial of FINAL FANTASY VII to activate in steam.  If you already own the Steam game simply install the game and play!

In this video I gonna demonstrate how to use CrossTie’s in Crossover and how simple this works (matter of opening the Crosstiefile and watch the automater do its work). I used in this video the “Crossover ready” game page of Worms Mayhem which will be the example page of what all pages in the end will look like (only the video in the slider be different of course). The Wineskin Wrapper will still be available though when it’s created already in the past. New game ports will be Crossover tested only.
