Army Men – World War for Mac

We already have some Army men games added in Porting kit, but now the recent released Army Men – World War  for Mac is added as well! Game works well, tested the game for a level, without issues. If you interested in other titles we have also Army Men RTS, Army men 2 and Toys in Space. Have fun with these classic toys!

Install is Simple:
1. Get Porting Kit or Crossover if you don’t have it yet.
2. Then download the GOG.com setup file from Army Men – World War from GOG (Remember to download the “offline backup setup files”) into your download folder.
3. Then in Porting Kit search the game in the library –> server tab and click install.
4. After installation of the game, “exit” the GOG installer.
5. Click “Play” to start the game! Have fun!

Game description:
The Green and Tan nations have broken off peace talks. There is no choice but to prepare for battle/ Only after storming the shores of the enemy homeland, pushing through thick jungles, and securing war-torn cities, does the ultimate victory await. Dive back into the trenches! It’s Real Combat.

Soldier of Fortune Payback for Mac

After Soldier of Fortune 2, now also we added:  Soldier of Fortune Payback for Mac! We already have the classic/community edition added in Porting Kit of the first game in the series, but now Payback has been added as well! The game works just fine, although the full screen resolutions are 800×600 and at the most 1024×768. No problem for the fans. Played a level without issues. enjoy this classic!

Install is Simple:
1. Get Porting Kit or Crossover if you don’t have it yet.
2. Then download the GOG.com setup file from Soldier of Fortune – Payback from GOG (Remember to download the “offline backup setup files”) into your download folder.
3. Then in Porting Kit search the game in the library –> server tab and click install.
4. After installation of the game, “exit” the GOG installer.
5. Click “Play” to start the game! Have fun!

Soldier of Fortune 2 – Double Helix for Mac

For the people loving action games we have added another classic which has been released recently on GOG.com:  Soldier of Fortune 2 – Double Helix for Mac! We already have the classic/community edition added in Porting Kit of the first game in the series, but now Double Helix has been added as well! On request!  Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine for Mac! Just released digitally for the first time on GOG.com and now already in Porting Kit! Enjoy this Classic on your mac with Porting Kit! On request! Might and Magic IX for Mac! If you like the Might and Magic series then this RPG will be a very nice add-on into your game collection. Tested the game for a bit and works just great. On startup the game will minimize to the dock, but activate it again full screen by clicking on it again. Have fun!

You liked Zombie Shooter? Then Zombie Shooter 2  for Mac will be even better! With much better graphics and in-game speech and clips this game will be definatly a great follow-up. I tested the game for a a level and it works very nice.  So for the arcade shooter fanatics, this is game you will certainly like. Graphically it’s isometric like Fallout or the Infinity Engine titles, but gameplay-wise it’s like a third-person shooter with lite-RPG-esque stats and weapons you can upgrade by exterminate enemies and collecting loot. Have fun!

Shooter lovers be aware! Tested with keyboard only at the moment, but expect it to work with gamepad as well. With an overall readjustment of the game balance and every character’s moves, this final edition of “KOF ’98 UM” is definitely the ultimate version to play for every KOF fan for endless and epic battles. Have fun!

Darksiders for Mac

We reached the Patron $10 milestone, so Darksiders (Legacy Edition) for Mac has been added to Porting Kit! We really need Patrons to exist so we are really happy the first start is made and we hope more and more Patrons will join out Crusade to bring more, better, games to Porting Kit and besides that to Improve Porting Kit itself more and more as well! Will cool features as chat function between Porting Kit users and Multiplayer options using special LAN (VPN support) between Porting Kit users/gamers so you can play multiplayer games with each other  in Porting Kit!

About the Darksiders port I can say it runs very well using High-end Macs in high resolution and graphics. I tested it on my AMD Radeon 2GB 1Mac see also video for some gameplay. Good thing to note is that game port is for the LEGACY EDITION, so not for the Warmastered edition. Remember that when downloading (Offline backup installer setup) the setup and bin files from your GOG.com Library into your download folder.

It took ages, but finally, finally The Guild Gold for Mac has been added to Porting Kit! We already had the Guild 2 Ported to Mac, but the first episode was an pain in the ass to port. Luckily with the latest Wine Engine, finally some bugs were fixed and now can be played using Porting Kit. Simply download the “Offline backup installer files” from your GOG.com library after purchase  into your download folder and start the install! Enjoy this enormous classic on your Mac!
