Redline for the Mac!

Here another good old game which is released a few days ago on GOG.com. Redline an insane classic post-apocalyptic action game combining first-person shooter and off-road driving game. If you don’t own the game yet, I strongly advise you to buy Redline (only $5,99) digitally and DRM free on GOG.com. I tested that version of the game in the wrapper and that one works for me.

It’s 2066 and the world is a different place. While the privileged insiders live in fertile domed cities, the rest of us fight for survival in the wastelands. Rival gangs battle for supremacy, turf control and valuable resources. In order for a young man to succeed he must make the right choices about his future. That’s why you want to join the Company.

The Samaritan Paradox for the Mac

In the mood for another adventure game? Yesterday The Samaritan Paradox was released on GOG.com and I am happy to announce that I made a port for this game already! A famous writer has died. His daughter seeks the help of you, Ord Salomon, to find his secret last novel. During the search, questions will emerge. Did her father really kill himself? What is the secret novel all about? What is going on at the island of Fardo? Check out the trailer to get warmed up for the game and get it on GOG.com, and use my wrapper to play it on your Mac! Enjoy!

The Samaritan Paradox is set in Sweden in the 80’s. Ord Salomon has agreed to help Sara Bergwall find the book her father, Jonatan Bergwall, wrote before he died. During the course of this treasure hunt, he learns that Jonatan was investigating the weapons industry, and more specifically some covert affairs with foreign dictatorships. But more questions arise. What is the book about, and why does Sara want Ord to find it for her? Did her Alzheimer’s-stricken mother know the secret before she grew too demented to share it? And how did Jonatan actually die?

Check out the trailer below to see the game play!

As the last remaining Hydral, it is up to you to create a lasting federation of planets and usher in an era of peace and prosperity to the solar system. Bring spacefaring technology to underdeveloped societies, manipulate their economies, political systems, and diplomatic relations. Do whatever it takes to end strife in your solar system. Remember, when helping civilizations evolve, sometimes they evolve faster when a large multi-headed monster is glaring menacingly at them.

Six more Dungeon & Dragons Mac games available on GOG.com

I checked GOG.com today for some news and it seems that they ported 6 Dungeon & Dragons games which I ported already ages ago. Nevertheless, this is good news, because now GOG.com offers official support for the Mac games, because they sell the game officially for the Mac now. And what you sell, you need to support. The six games which are now officially available for the Mac now are: Baldur’s Gate: The Original Saga, Baldur’s Gate 2 Complete, Icewind Dale Complete, Icewind Dale 2 Complete, Planescape: Torment, and the non-infinity engine but still a D&D classic, Temple of Elemental Evil!

I updated the game pages on my website with the new Mac releases, because the Wrappers are now not nessecerry anymore. Enjoy the official Mac games!

Unreal 2 for the Mac!

I already did port Unreal Tournament 2004 a few days back, but here is the port for Unreal 2: The Awakening as well! Most middle aged guys will know this game from school days. Especially Unreal Tournament and Unreal which I ported also. I know it is a bit late, but with the Battle of the Games action, Unreal 2 is only $2,49 (75% off) at the moment, so if you like it then you can get it cheap now on GOG.com! Check out the trailer below to refresh some memories!

Not Your Average Mission – Command a team of marines defending a ravaged base. Infiltrate an enemy stronghold. Rescue the trapped survivor of an alien raid. With a demanding array of objectives, you have one overriding goal – survival. Be ready for anything. Unreal Graphics and Sound – Awe-inspiring graphics immerse you in a swarm of alien worlds full of breathtaking scenery and brutal action. 3D sound envelops you in hailstorms of bullets, mind-jarring explosions and the eerie chatter of alien tongues.

Unreal Tournament 2004 for the Mac!

Unreal Tournament 2004 is a game many will know as the successor of Unreal and Unreal Tournament. Face off to defend and attack fortified bases in the fan-favorite Assault Mode, and take team combat to the next level in Onslaught Mode, which brings vehicular combat into its own with a variety of land-, air- and space-based vehicles. Over 95 maps are available, including more than 45 brand new maps for all existing game-play modes! If you don’t own the game yet, I strongly advise you to buy Unreal Tournament 2004 on Gamersgate or on GOG.com which is DRM free and works out of the box! I have a Wrapper and CrossTie available for this game. Check out the trailer below to refresh some memories! Have fun!

Unreal Tournament 2004 offers up the kill-or-be-killed experience of gladiatorial combat in 10 game modes – both team-based and “every man for himself” – which provide even the most hardcore gamer with palm-sweating challenges through unbelievably detailed indoor arenas and vast outdoor environments.

Inviticus: in the shadow of Olympus for Mac

For tonight I have: Inviticus: in the shadow of Olympus. Invictus is a mix of rts and rpg genres. You begin your quest by selecting 2 heroes out of 10 (you can have 4 later) plus some warriors from different types of units (swordsmen, archers, spearmen etc or ever mythological creatures). Each hero has his own abilities, strengths and weaknesses. If you like this mix of fantasy and RPG then this one might be something for you.

Caught in a bitter feud between spiteful gods, you fight for more than your life. Enlist Hercules, Achilles, Electra and the mightiest of heroes in your struggle for an eternal seat atop Olympus. In game you can recruit new members from over 30 distinct units like Gorgons and Harpies with abilities like turning flesh into stone and insidious poison. You can command the heroes in your war party at any time during battle and ask them for help.

Wrapper update Neighbours from Hell and Deadend Cerebral Vortex

On the puzzle section there were still a few game pages which weren’t migrated to the new Website, so I am walking through those games coming week. Starting with these 2 games. The Neighbours from Hell Compilation and DeadEnd Cerebral Vortex. I also updated the Wrappers with a new Icon and with an updated Wrapper when necessary. Both games work great (native Windows)! Enjoy!

Risen 2 – Dark Waters for the Mac

Today Risen 2 – Dark Waters has been released on GOG.com. They released Risen as well 2 days back which I already ported in the past. Because it is a popular RPG game I took some time to port Risen 2 as well! And with success!  The game runs great (1920×1080) on my Nvidia 640M iMac and yes, a 512mb Graphics Card is not a luxery with this game (counts for Windows as well). The only minor thing I ran into was the installation, at the end of it you get a error window you cannot click away. When that happens simply press: cmd + esc and end the risen process and the installation will and then you can play!! If you love RPG, then this one is a recommendation! Because it is just released today on GOG.com it has a 60% discount (7,99 instead of $19,99) for the next 48 hours, so get it cheap when you can!

The hero, now a member of the Inquisition, is sent out to find out how to stop the chaos caused by these creatures from the deep. His quest begins with rumors that the pirates who frequent the southern islands are the only ones who know a way to get rid of the creatures once and for all and end their reign of terror.
