New Created CrossTies Week 4 (part 1)

New/updated Crossties of Week 4 (Part 1)! I needed to make this first part, because of the fixes of some CrossTies. I made some mess ups in some ties which caused the Crosstie end in an installation error (which could be ignored though), so I had to fix those. While doing that I thought, let’s post the ones I already did this weekend as well. There are a couple very interesting CrossTies in it, Like Cities XL Platinum and Splinter Cell!

So check the Crossties out below and play these amazing games on your Mac! You need Crossover pre-installed in order for the CrossTie to work. Check out this video or on the game pages how simple CrossTies work! Enjoy!

New CrossTies:
Krush Kill and Destroy 2
Cities XL Platinum
Settlers 2 10th Aniversary
Abes Exoddus
Pro Pinball Fantastic Journey
Tom Clancy’s Splintercell
Settlers 4

Updated:
M.A.X (fixed installer failure)
Settlers Gold (fixed installer failure)

DROD 1 + 2 + 3 released for the Mac!

Almost nine years ago DROD was released for Windows, and today GOG.com released all 3 games in one package as well for the Mac. With its 25 sprawling levels with over 350 custom designed rooms, including secret rooms, it will keep you busy for a long while. Check out the trailer below to get introduced to the game.

What happened to Beethro on his first excursion into King Dugan’s Dungeon? Well, mainly it was just the usual dungeon exterminator’s subterranean grind: killing off thousands of roaches, chopping through tar, guzzling mimic potions, and generally ridding the King’s underground chambers of all that should not be there. But also Beethro met an unexpected enemy, created lifelong grudges against him, and learned secrets that would later motivate his journey to Rooted Hold.

Apache Longbow and HIND for the Mac!

More Helicopter Simulators! For today at least 2 more games: HIND and Apache Longbow. They may be older Helicopter Simulators, but still way much fun! These games are available on GOG.com and works great using Crossover! Use the Crossties on the gamepage to let it automaticly install the game into crossover. I posted the HIND gameplay video below to catch up good old times! Enjoy!

You’re ready to rock and roll but so is the enemy! They’re waiting for you with combat helicopters of their own, backed up by radar-guided anti-aircraft guns and missiles and fixed wing aircraft. It’s not going to be a cakewalk but you and your Apache are up to the challenge. Across four theaters of war– Fort Hood where you train and then in war zones in Cyprus, Yemen, and Korea–you will fly the most fearsome helicopter that has ever been designed against enemies on land, sea, and air.

M.A.X. for the Mac!

More golden oldies! This Weekend I ran unto some GOG.com games I owned, so here is another one:  M.A.X.. Your mission: colonize new worlds on distant planets. As the Mission Commander, you and the Mechanized Assault & Exploration (M.A.X.) force under your command are the first ones in. Mining stations, power plants, tactical combat vehicle factories, habitats – it’s up to you to plan and construct them.  This game is still available on GOG.com and works great using Crossover! The bundle comes with M.A.X. and  M.A.X. 2, unfortunatly M.A.X. 2 isn’t working at the moment. Use the Crosstie on the gamepage to let it automaticly install the game into crossover. Watch the video below to catch up good old times! Enjoy!

At its core, M.A.X. is about resource-gathering, building, and tactical combat. The game offers more than 50 land, sea, and air units, most of which can be upgraded to improve their armor, speed, and range. You can play as one of eight different factions with different advantages for each one. Discover new scenarios, units and more with the sequel – M.A.X. 2. Now both games bundled together!

Sid Meier’s Covert Action released for Mac

GOG.com released a Mac version of  Sid Meier’s Cover Action on their website. In my eyes it is a game not that popular and too old that it needs a separate game page. To comply to the games who do like these old games I will do a blog post of this game.  This way you are at least informed about this Mac game release on GOG.com. Enjoy!

Award-winning game designer Sid Meier takes us around the globe with special agent Max Remington to challenge international threats, and neutralize shadowy schemes of terrorism, smuggling, and extortion. Tap phone lines, crack complex codes, defeat computerized defense systems. Track suspects around the globe as you put together the pieces to a worldwide criminal plot. A seasoned veteran of modern, high-tech undercover operations, Remington always obeys the two main rules of Covert Action: 1. Use your intelligence. 2. If Rule One fails, use your other weapons.

Dungeon Keeper 2 for the Mac!

Everyone can say much about older games, but I have to say newer games aren’t always better. I can say even better, there are older games which cannot be beaten by any new games yet. For example, yesterday I spent most of my evening (which was not meaned to :P)  with an golden oldie “Civilization“. Loved that game in the past and I have to watch out that it consumes much time from me :P

Today another very popular golden oldie called: Dungeon Keeper 2. This game (although not my personal taste of games) is the predecessor of Dungeon Keep (Gold), which is now released for the Mac on GOG.com, and where you have to play a dungeon keeper where you have to manage way through all the levels. Check out the gameplay below.

Dungeon Keeper 2 is everything its predecessor was, only better and badder! It is probably one of the most addictive and fun games ever created; with tons of dark humor, smooth gameplay, and high replayability value. In addition to that there is a well designed multiplayer mode and a pet-dungeon module that tests your ability to build the ultimate underground labyrinth filled with traps, wierdos, and other bad looking devices. If you liked Dungeon Keeper you will love this ultimate installment of the Bullfrog series.
