Wine 1.7.22 has been released!

I am a bit late with this post (yeah…holidays) but a new Wine version is out on WineHQ! The wine version is now build in an engine and is available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to build all my Wrappers for this website. Something special with this build is that the Core Audio driver (for Mac) is using AUHAL instead of AudioQueue, this should fix some audio issues in some games.  See more details below and on WineHQ.

You can change the wine engine in existing Wrappers doing: Right-click Wrapper –> show package content –> wineskin –. advanced –> tools –> change engine –> change it to the latest engine you downloaded, in this case 1.7.22.

The Wine development release 1.7.22 is now available.

What’s new in this release:

  • Support for Unicode bracketing pairs.
  • Improved Internet cookie support.
  • OS X CoreAudio driver uses AUHAL instead of AudioQueue.
  • Initial support for geographical information.
  • Various bug fixes.

Wine 1.7.21 released!

A new Wine version is out on WineHQ! The wine version will be build in an engine and will be available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to build all my Wrappers for this website. The Wine engine itself is not available yet in Winery, so we have to wait (Doh123 of Wineskin will do this as soon as he can) on that and then you can download and test it with your games when interested! There is an unicode update, support for critical sections in runtime and some more important memory issues fixed.  See more details below and on WineHQ.

You can change the wine engine in existing Wrappers doing: Right-click Wrapper –> show package content –> wineskin –. advanced –> tools –> change engine –> change it to the latest engine you downloaded, in this case 1.7.21.

The Wine development release 1.7.21 is now available.

What’s new in this release:

  • Support for critical sections in the C runtime.
  • Unicode data updated to Unicode 7.0.
  • Support for interlaced PNG encoding.
  • Initial stub for the Packager library.
  • Various bug fixes.

Wine 1.7.20 is released now!

It took a month because Alexandre was on holidays, but finally it is here: Wine 1.7.20! The wine version will be build in an engine and will be available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to build all my Wrappers for this website. The Wine engine itself is not available yet in Winery, so we have to wait (Doh123 of Wineskin will do this as soon as he can) on that and then you can download and test it with your games when interested! There is some c/c++ improvements/support and some more important memory issues fixed.  See more details below and on WineHQ.

Wine 1.7.18 released!

Wine 1.7.18 is released now! The wine version will be build in an engine and will be available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to build all my Wrappers for this website. The Wine engine itself is already available in Winery, so download and test it with your games when interested! There were some Mac driver improvements implanted and a few important memory issues.  See more details below and on WineHQ. You can change the wine engine in existing Wrappers doing: Rightclick Wrapper –> show packge content –> wineskin –. advanced –> tols –> change engine –> change it to the latest engine you downloaded, in this case 1.7.18.

The Wine development release 1.7.18 is now available.

What’s new in this release:

  • Improved OLE Accessible Object support.
  • Window sizing improvements in the Mac driver.
  • Fixes for various memory issues found by Valgrind.
  • A few more MSHTML functions.
  • Some DirectDraw cleanups.
  • Various bug fixes.

Wine 1.7.17 is released!

Wine 1.7.17 is released just now! The wine version will be build in an engine and will be available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to build all my Wrappers for this website. The Wine engine itself is already available in Winery, so download and test it with your games when interested! There were quite some regression test fixes implanted and quite some d3d fixes as well. Another interesting improvement is that there are some fixes in the joystick support. See more details below and on WineHQ.

The Wine development release 1.7.17 is now available.

What’s new in this release:

  • More implementations for the Task Scheduler.
  • C runtime made more compatible by sharing source files.
  • Fixes in the Mac OS X joystick support.

Wine 1.7.16 is released just now! The wine version will be build in an engine and will be available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to build all my Wrappers for this website. The Wine engine itself isn’t available yet in Winery but will follow soon by the Wineskin developer (Doh123). When it is there download and test it with your games when interested! There were quite some regression test fixes implanted and better IDL compiler support. See more details below and on WineHQ.

The Wine development release 1.7.16 is now available.

What’s new in this release:

  • More regression test fixes.
  • String arrays better supported in the IDL compiler.
  • Initial stubs for DirectX Video Acceleration.

Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to build all my Wrappers for this website. The engine itself is already available in Winery, so download and test it with your games when interested! There were quite some regression test fixes implanted and support for exception unwinding in VBscript. See more details below and on WineHQ.

Wine 1.7.14 Released!

Wine 1.7.14 is released just now! The wine version will be buildt in an engine and will be available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to buildt all my wrappers for this website. Because the new Wine is just released, the engine itself is not available yet in Winery, but will be added soon by Doh123 (Wineskin developer). There were quite some MSXML patches implanted in wine which wil fix MSXML related issues. Also some more AVI Encoding support what might fix some issues with media. The Wine development release 1.7.14 is now available.

Wine 1.7.13 is released just now! The wine version will be buildt in an engine and will be available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to buildt all my wrappers for this website. Because the new Wine is just released, the engine itself is not available yet in Winery, but will be added soon by Doh123 (Wineskin developer). There were quite some d3d patches implanted in wine which resulted in some D3D10 and D3D9 fixes. See more details below and on Winehq.

Wine 1.7.12 released!

Wine 1.7.12 released!

Wine 1.7.12 is released last friday! Altough my primairy focus is not Wineskin anymore but Crossover, Wine is still the sourcecode where it is all about and will be iplanted in Crossover soon as well. And if you have of games and want to see if there are some improvements with the latest WineEngine then this news might be worthwhile. The wine version will be buildt in an engine and will be available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to buildt all my wrappers for this website. Because the new Wine is just released, the engine itself is not available yet in Winery, but will be added soon by Doh123 (Wineskin developer). Main focus has been especially c++ runtime fixes which might fix for example some graphical glitch issues for some specfic games.  See more details below and on Winehq.
