Coming plans first quarter 2023

Here a small news item about what has been going on the past months and where we are busy on, and other things. Well, as you already have read in a recent news item, Parallels Desktop joined Paulthetall.com as an extra solution to play your Windows games and use your Windows apps on your Mac. For the games we have in the database, the plan is also to test it in Parallels Desktop. So there can be expected posts with lists of new tested games on Parallels desktop and when needed, extra instructions how to make them work.

Besides that I will also do a sweep through all the posts, pages on the paulthetall.com website coming months. Many pages/posts had in 6-9 years, no update and were/are way outdated, screenshots missing etc. This has to be addressed urgently especially when new visitors come and search for games/posts where the content isn’t actual anymore or see broken screenshots.

Of course, new ports will arrive as always, as we speak I am testing a couple new ones. Besides that updates of old ports is an ongoing process as well.

In February there is a new update of Crossover announced (22.1) which also means a newer engine. What the changes are, are still unknown, also because it’s a sub version, I don’t expect massive changes but hope there are some fixes and better compatibility in the pipeline for Apple Silicon Macs.

About Porting Kit there is not much news to tell for now, other then optimizations, some Parallels Desktop integrations and a few filters.

So stay tuned! There is a lot in motion in the background!

  1. Thank you for all the work you Paul. I really appreciate the fact that you haven’t given up on this project and are giving us Mac users great joys of playing PC games again!

  2. Thank you Paul! Love the update. It would be fantastic to see Empire Earth working on Silicon Macs as it used to on intel. If you have a way of making it work in crossover please share!
