Cultures series and Alien Nations/Nations Gold wrapper update!
Nice wrapper updates for the Culture series and Alien Nations/Nations Gold game ports! These games weren’t compatible with the Apple Silicon Macbook Pro’s and crashed with specific missions. All of that has been fixed in these wrapper updates. All of these games are now completely compatible!
Improvements:
– Updated with latest CX22.1.1-1 Wine Engine
– Compatible for Apple Silicon Macbook Pro’s
– Fixed crashes for specific missions
– Nice and stable.
To install the updated ports, delete the old ports (when installed previously), and search the updated port in the library tab and install the games again. When you do not own the games yet, get Cultures 1+2 (bundle) and Cultures 3+4 (Bundle) from GOG.com and download the “Offline backup Setup files” into your download folder and install the port from Porting Kit. The same can be done for Alien Nations and Nations Gold! Have fun!

I purchased Nations Gold after reading this, but I get only a black screen with background music when starting the game. When clicking with the mouse, a pink rectangle shows up as the mouse pointer, still with a black screen. Running Macbook Pro M1 Max, MacOS 13.4. Would be really fun to play this game, thank you for your work!
