Diablo IV for Mac

On many request/demand we added Diablo IV for Mac (we also added the Battlenet client itself and Diablo 2 – Resurrection in Porting Kit, but those will have their own blog posts) into Porting Kit. Those games aren’t my kinda games, but many people seem te be fond on the series. So here they are! Diablo IV is the ultimate action-RPG experience with endless evil to slaughter, countless abilities to master, nightmarish dungeons, and legendary loot.

About the Port:
The game is based on D3D Metal, so only Apple Silicon Macs can enjoy the game and play it, when you at least are on Mac OS 14 Sonoma or higher and 16GB Apple Silicon Ram. I haven’t tested out the port myself (don’t own the game), but this port should work for the Apple Silicon Mac users with 16GB Ram.

Porting Kit GOG Install Instructions:
– Make Sure you have Porting Kit installed on your Mac
–  Search Diablo IV in the “all games” Porting Kit database
–  Click “Install” (Then next, next, you know the drill).
–  After install of the port, click exit to finish the installation process.
–  Click play to start launch Battlenet and download and play the game.

  1. Same here doesn’t work for, battle.net launcher starts, but after clicked Play it doesn’t work

  2. Like the others, it just doesn’t work. Did you test it before officially putting it in Porting Kit?

  3. Unfortunately nether Paul nor myself own a copy of DiabloIV so confirming the game worked wasn’t possible.

I can confirm that Diablo 2: Resurrected works.

  4. I had back-ported some required hacks but seems that wasn’t enough to get the game working, for the moment we’ll probably just make it impossible to install DiabloIV port.

Without a licensed copy of the game on Battle.net & Steam it’s very difficult to get it working.

  5. I have put Diablo IV into maintenance mode for now until we managed to deal with the issue.

As Gcenx mentioned, if you want to speed up the process (because its too expense for now to buy the game for us) maybe someone can donate the game (if someone wants and to help everyone out) to Gcenx so he can look into the issue and fix it. If you want to help using a Diablo IV key, sent me an email and I will forward it to Gcenx.

  6. I’m not seeing mention of a free trial currently, ether way I currently I don’t exactly have time to work on getting the game working.

The whole point of owning the game is so I’m able to work on it when I have time and also be able to fix issues when there’s invariably an update that breaks the game.
