New Port: Dino Crisis for Mac
Great news for the people who know the game Dino Crisis. Because, yes now it recently has been released on GOG.com I created a port for Dino Crisis for Mac! Yes, it also works very nice on Apple Silicon Macs! At least if you also apply the usual software based workaround for low-resolution games. I tested the game for about an hour on my Apple Silicon MacBook Pro 2021 and it works brilliantly. The only small thing I encountered was after installing the game didn’t came across a black screen after the start screen at the first launch. After quitting the Application and starting it again, the game just worked fine from then on.
About the Port:
The game is based on Direct3D so it should only as well on Intel based Macs as on Apple Silicon Macs, when you at least are on Mac OS 14 Sonoma or higher.
Porting Kit GOG Install Instructions:
– Make Sure you have Porting Kit installed on your Mac
– Make sure you logged in into GOG integration in Porting Kit (GOG account tab -> Login):
– If not: – Make sure you download the “Offline backup setup files” of Dino Crisis from GOG into your download folder.
– Search the game in “all games” or “GOG Source” database.
– Click “Install” (Then next, next, you know the drill).
– Porting Kit will Install the GOG.com version of Dino Crisis
– After install of the port, click exit to finish the installation process.
– Click play to start the game!

Hi! I found your youtube video from 2012 and wanted to get sim safari working on my Mac.
The wrapper link for the DMG is not active any more and I was wondering if you still have that file? I accessed the link from wayback machine, but it’s expired.
