Doom I + II for Mac

One request! Doom I + II for Mac has been added to Porting Kit. The port of the bundle of Doom 1 and Doom 2 has been recently added by GOG and replaced their other separate sale of the game. The bundle now costs $9,99 as the standard price which includes:

– DOOM¹
– DOOM II¹
– TNT: Evilution
– The Plutonia Experiment
– Master Levels for DOOM II
– No Rest for the Living
– Sigil
– Legacy of Rust (a new episode created in collaboration by id Software, Nightdive Studios and MachineGames)
– A new Deathmatch map pack featuring 25 maps

About the Port:
The game seems only to work on Apple Silicon at the moment. Performance on my M1 Apple Silicon (16GB) is awesome! Intel based Macs experience a red screens somehow…until its fixed, its as mentioned Apple Silicon only.

  1. This isn’t working for me. At the end of the Gog installation (with Porting Kit GOG account synce enabled), the installer asks to “select the exe for Doom II”. Any advice?

  2. @anonymous: might be several things:
    – Or you are on Mac OS Mojave or lower
    – Or Outdated Porting Kit, downloaded latest from PK website.
    – Or somehow your GOG integration isn’t properly set, check in your GOG account tab in PK if you can sign in then you wern’t signed in somehow.
    – Worse case scenario you download the offline backup setup file of the game and install it then again, it will then look to the download folder for the setup file (don’t download the gog galaxy file).

If still you have issues mail me using the proper methods (contact form or “report a problem” within PK.
