GOG.com version of Elder Scrolls V – Skyrim SE added to Porting Kit!

Yes! If you own the GOG.com version of Skyrim Special Edition or the Anniversary Edition (contains 2 extra DLC’s which needs to be installed separately) you can now install the GOG game in Porting Kit!  The GOG “source” is added in the Skyrim SE port which you can find now in the Porting Kit database. The game is upgraded with the new CX22.0.1 engine which is now used in some ports already in Porting Kit.

The game is tested on my M1 Apple silicon Macbook Air and I played for about 30 minutes quite smoothly. And as far as I could see it is quite an improvement so far :)

When you don’t own the game yet, then the GOG.com version is really recommended, also because of not being dependent on a “game client” (internet connection). Get it from there and download the “Offline backup setup files” from your account library and let Porting Kit do the rest using the description in the port. Have fun!!

  1. Hi. Vanilla game works perfectly but the port doesn’t anymore work with MO2. Some youtube videos show it works but latest version of the port doesn’t. MO2 executable doesn’t run at all. Also tried to install the requirements of MO2 and port says it’s already installed in the package. Side note. MO2 runs for another port (Stalker Anomaly)
