Gothic 3 for the Mac!

The Gothic 3 Mac port is as non-linear as an RPG can get without losing a sense of purpose. Its huge, living world holds many treasures, breathtaking locations, and dark secrets. It is a giant playground in which you have total freedom. The game had no real issues while playing accept for a lagg of 2 seconds when you select your burning torch, for the rest its working very well. I wrote a written instruction below, but made a video tutorial as well to help out visually and show you some game-play. The Windows game is available on Gamersgate and until Monday also on GOG.com (now 80% off) Enjoy!

Before downloading the Wrapper, make sure security settings are set correctly when you have Mavericks OSX or higher. Then download and extract Wrapper below and the 1.75 Gothic 3 game patch–> double-click wrapper –> install windows software –> navigate to the setup file and double-click on it –> then the install wizard will appear –> install the game –> at the end select gothic3.exe (when asked) and click “Exit”. Then again click install windows software and navigate to the 1.75 patch and double-click the file and run through that installer as well. When finished, right-click the wrapper –> show package content –> c_drive –> navigate to game folder and go to the INI folder and edit the Ge3.ini file with and text editor and change the “Timer.ThreadSafe” value to “false”. Then close the ini file and double-click the wrapper and play! Have fun!
