Grand Theft Auto V for Mac
Well, I finally had time to look into GTA V (yeah bought it last week on Summer sale for $15,- on Steam), because normally it should work technically already in Steambuild 64bit/D3d11. After downloading the immense game (120GB space required for install?), I first run into an issue in launching the game which in the end was the fault of a popup warning of the Mac to accept incoming connections/Microphone and such. When that was resolved the game launched perfectly fine and even performed quite well on my Apple Silicon Macbook pro with M1 Apple Silicon chip. No real hick-ups or something, so I was quite impressed.
So I made a separate port of the game with neat icon, which you can find in the Porting Kit game database. Install the port, login into Steam, activate the Steam key if you haven’t the game yet, and play! This game is tested on my M1 Apple Silicon MacBook Pro, but I can assure you that this game will only run on High-end Macs, so don’t even try with Intel HD or Intel Iris Mac’s with 1.5GB shared memory or something, the game needs the real deal in processor/video/memory power.
Game description:
When a young street hustler, a retired bank robber and a terrifying psychopath find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged elements of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government and the entertainment industry, they must pull off a series of dangerous heists to survive in a ruthless city in which they can trust nobody, least of all each other.

Good morning,
thanks for the port! I’ve been waiting for this for years. Thank you so much.
The game works perfectly on ventura. On the other hand, since my visit to Sonoma, I have had display problems (reflection, light).
Do you have an idea of the problem. No issues under Crossover though.
I have tried following your method the Prototype and flatout 4 games with success.
Prototype 2 works but only with Crossover.
again a thousand thanks!!!
Tried the same on a M2. Installing went well. When starting the game from the steam port nothing happens anymore. Just the button changes to be able to stop the game no working game pops up. Any idea? Thank you in advance for your support!
same thing m2 pro and when running steam if i click play, it’s showing (running) but nothing happens, process is there, but doesn’t consume resources. also there was an issue if i could somehow get to launcher, it was saying “connecting to rockstar games services” and nothing happens for hours.
Same as Olaf and Alex, have you guys been able to play?
