New Port: Middle Earth Shadow of Morder for Mac
The classic Middle-Earth Shadow of Mordor has been released on GOG.com a while back. So recently I had the time to add the port to the Porting Kit database. So here we are. Works great on my new M4 Apple Silicon Mac! Winner of over 50 “Best of 2014” Awards including Game of the Year, Best Action Game and Most Innovative Game. You are Talion, a Ranger of the Black Gate, keeping watch over Mordor which has remained undisturbed for ages. In the blink of an eye, everything is taken from you – your friends, your family, and even your own life. Resurrected by a vengeful spirit, you must now embark on a relentless vendetta against those who have wronged you.
About the Port:
The game has 2 types of engines: One for Apple Silicon based on D3Dmetal and the Second for Intel based on Direct3D so it should work both on Intel based Macs as on Apple Silicon Macs, when you at least are on Mac OS 12 Monterey or higher (will be working from Mac OS 10.15.4 and higher soon). Tested the game on my M1 Apple Silicon Macbook Pro and works awesome.
This game requires at least Porting Kit 6.7.0! While the update mechanism isn’t working properly at the moment, download the latest version from the Porting Kit website here…

When i go to download the offline files, there are 15 total. The 1st being 1.5 mb, and the rest are 4 gbs each. Do I have to download all of those files or just the small file? I keep running into issues trying to install Shadows of Mordor. It keeps telling me that it can’t find the url for the right engine.
