New Port: Oddworld - New 'n' Tasty for Mac

A golden oldie! Oddworld – New ‘n’ tasty for Mac! This game was supported for Mac until Mac OS Catalina 10.15. We made it modern Mac compatible again and working for Apple Silicon Macs! Built from scratch from the ground up, enjoy breathtaking visuals, enhanced audio and improved, deeper gameplay as New ‘n’ Tasty reignites the original Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee using the latest next-generation technology.

***if you don’t use GOG integration be reminded that this game has an old Mac version on GOG, you have to change “System” to Windows (Screenshot) on your GOG Account download page, otherwise you will download old Mac game files instead of the Windows “Offline backup setup files” which are required for Porting Kit.***

About the Port:
The game is based on Direct3D so it it works both on Intel based Macs as on Apple Silicon Macs (I tested it myself with a an M4 Macbook Pro with 24GB RAM/VRAM), when you at least are on Mac OS 12 Monterey or higher (will be working from Mac OS 10.15.4 and higher soon). Tested the game on my M1 Apple Silicon Macbook Pro and works nicely.

This game requires at least Porting Kit 6.7.0! While the update mechanism isn’t working properly at the moment, download the latest version from the Porting Kit website here…

Porting Kit GOG Install Instructions:
– Make Sure you have Porting Kit installed on your Mac
– Make sure you logged in into GOG integration in Porting Kit (GOG account tab -> Login):
– If not: – Make sure you download the “Offline backup setup files” of Oddworld – New ‘n’ tasty from GOG into your download folder.
– Search the game in “all games” or “GOG Source” database.
– Click “Install” (Then next, next, you know the drill).
– Porting Kit will Install the GOG.com version of Oddworld – New ‘n’ tasty
– After install of the port, click exit to finish the installation process.
– Click play to start the game!
