Origin (even after losing hope) has now a new workaround!
I already lost hope to be able to use Origin until CX23 would arrive, but Gcenx, found a way to even bypass the aggressive push from Origin to the EA App! With this last workaround we buy the time until CX23 arrives! I updated/made available the most popular Origin games already (Red Alert 2/C&C Generals), but will do the rest this afternoon.
For Red Alert 2 and C&C Generals, remove the old port which got the message to download the EA app, and reinstall the port and start playing again :)
Keep an eye out on the Porting Kit database to see the Origin sources get available in front of your eyes. Happy gaming!
