Welcome to the “The Silver Lining” for Mac game page. This page contains information + tools how to port this game so you can play it on your Mac just like a normal application.
Great news! This game is already available in the Porting Kit. Porting Kit is the new application which “ports” the game to your Mac. The video and download links in the slider are outdated and won’t work on OS X 10.11+. To fix/update it, install the game with the Porting Kit visit its page here. Or use the crosstie with the Crossover application.
Note: Its known you don’t see the startup intro, it will give a black screen at startup until the game boots to the menu. There you can select the episode you want to play. Every episode will flashback to the previous episode. That “flashback” will give a slow-motion in the screen while the talking is just normal. After that flashback the game runs as it should be without issues.
Inspired by the King’s Quest series of the 1980’s and ’90’s, The Silver Lining is a non-commercial game that follows King Graham of Daventry as he searches for a cure to a terrible curse laid on his children by a sinister cloaked figure, and begins to learn that not everything in their lives and pasts is as it seems. 4 adventure games in 1!
