Sinking Island for Mac
Finally a new game port added to Portingkit after a time of holidays :) This time the game: Sinking Island! Benoit Sokal’s Sinking Island is from the creators of Syberia 1 and 2 (which are also ported in Porting Kit). Then you know for sure you will embark in some quality adventure gaming. Really Recommend this game port.
Intel based Macs:
I tested the game on my intel based Macbook Pro 2019 with AMD Radeon GFX card, and it works just flawless so far as I tested. Smooth graphics, great gameplay, really enjoyable. So for the Intel Based Macs this game is really a “must have” game if you like (detective) adventure games.
M1/M2 Apple Silicon Based Macs:
I tested the game also on my M1 Apple silicon Macbook Air on Mac OS Monterey 12.4, and it’s (even in the new CX22 Beta1) choppy in the actual gameplay. The videos and intro’s are al just perfect, but when the game actual starts (with mouse pointer) it’s very choppy. It’s not unplayable (in lowest GFX settings) but at least that unenjoyable in my opinion to say, it’s worth waiting until a new engine/Mac OS update arrives to fix this issue.
