Welcome to the “Spellforce Platinum” for Mac game page. This page contains information + tools how to port Spellforce Platinum in a few simple steps (that even a noob can understand) so you can play it on your Mac just like a normal application using Crossover. So if you haven’t Crossover yet, then sign up here and buy the program or if you want to test it first, for the 14 days trial. Or use the Porting Kit alternative.
If you like Spellforce Platinum, you may also like Spellforce 2 – Anniversary which is ported as well.
If you don’t own the game yet, get Spellforce Platinum from GOG.com which is DRM free there and runs out of the box. Click on the links mentioned here, create an account using the signup in the top bar on the GOG.com website and buy the game. You automatically get when creating an account 14 free GOG games (+ some dlc’s) added to your account so you have nothing to loose, only to receive! Make sure the setup file is downloaded into your download folder before running the Crosstie, so that Crossover recognises the file and launches the setup automatically.
Important note: Make sure you put in the game options –> video –> to put off: “Effect lightmap” and “Environment mapping”. Otherwise the loading screen won’t go away and then you cant play! So make sure you do that action before you play.
SpellForce Platinum features three games in one box – SpellForce Gold Edition, which includes The Order of the Dawn and Breath of Winter, plus the expansion pack Shadow of the Phoenix. In SpellForce’s single-player action, players will enjoy a unique mixture of RTS and RPG elements that offer the player exciting gaming challenges through a persistent game world with a continuous, gripping storyline and numerous sub-quests. While under SpellForce’s spell, player will encounter more than 150 new items and 27 powerful set items (some of which can be modified by the player).
