S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl for Mac OSX

Welcome to the “STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl” for Mac game page. This page contains information + tools how to port STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl in a few simple steps (that even a noob can understand) so you can play it on your Mac just like a normal application. Check also one of the other over 1000 game ports on this website! You can port games using Porting Kit (free), or the commercial (more professional software) Crossover or Parallels Desktop (a very easy to use Virtual Machine with Windows 11) both have a 14 day trial period. Feel free to use the application which fits you best or use a combination of the 3 apps.

If you don’t own the game yet, get STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl from GOG.com which is DRM free there and runs out of the box. Click on the links mentioned here, create an account using the signup in the top bar on the GOG.com website and buy the game. You automatically get when creating an account 14 free GOG games (+ some dlc’s) added to your account so you have nothing to loose, only to receive! Make sure the setup file is downloaded into your download folder before running the Crosstie, so that Crossover recognises the file and launches the setup automatically.

Install/Porting is simple:
1. Get Porting Kit or Crossover if you don’t have it yet.
2. Then download the GOG.com setup files from STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl from GOG (offline backup setup installer files).
3. Then in Porting Kit search the game on the library –> server tab and click install.
4. After installation of the game, “exit” the GOG installer.
5. Click “Play” to start the game! Have fun!

Game description:
In 1986 the world’s most horrific nuclear disaster took place in Chernobyl. After subsequent unexplained explosions in 2006, a military zone is set up preventing access to this area. Stories of huge anomalous energy disturbances and strange sightings within the Zone are rife. Only the foolhardy or insane venture in. After having been found unconscious in the zone, you have become a S.T.A.L.K.E.R., a mercenary paid by scientists and other undisclosed groups, searching for strange artifacts, information and technologies while striving to regain your memory. However, you’re not alone: rival S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s, military guards, mutants and deadly anomalous creatures stand in your way as you begin to unravel the mystery of the Zone and your own identity.
