Trackmania 2020 issue (not launching) fixed!

Good news for the Trackmania 2020 lovers! The game is fixed! Because of an update of Ubisoft Connect the game stopped working. Now it’s fixed again with the new release of the CX221.0 Engine by Gcenx! Trackmania 2020 is a free game from Ubisoft and the successor of Trackmania Nations (which is also ported but running crappy on Apple Silcion Macs). So Trackmania 2020 is especially for Apple Silicon Mac’s really interesting.

The game port still has the 2 page file messages/pop-ups before the game starts. So you still need to click “ok” on these messages to be able to start the game. Also the known adjustments of the video settings are still required:

–
Set Presets to none -> Shaders to High!
– Set maximum fps to 60 and GPU & CPU synchronisation to none.
– Set everything related to reflections to the lowest possible setting.
This way the game runs quite smoothly for me with only occasional stuttering.

  1. Hey! My name is Jan, Thank you so much for this port! :)

I just got a new Mac studio with M2 max chip and Mac OS ventura 13.5
I would love to play Trackmania 2020 on my computer, and everything seems to run smooth, but there is one fatal flaw for me, the tracks themselves are invisible! haha all the background scenery loads just fine, and the car, but the tracks are invisible and it looks like I’m floating in the sky. Would love to know a suggestion to fix this if you have one!

    Thank you again!
    – Jan
