Wine 1.7.13 released!

Wine 1.7.13 is released just now! The wine version will be buildt in an engine and will be available in “Winery“. Winery is a program where you can build wrappers with, and is available on the Wineskin website. I used Winery to buildt all my wrappers for this website. Because the new Wine is just released, the engine itself is not available yet in Winery, but will be added soon by Doh123 (Wineskin developer). There were quite some d3d patches implanted in wine which resulted in some D3D10 and D3D9 fixes. See more details below and on Winehq.

The Wine development release 1.7.13 is now available.

What’s new in this release:

  • More Task Scheduler support.
  • A few more Direct3D 10 interfaces.
  • More Windows Media Player stubs.
  • ARM code generation improvements.
  • Better memory size reporting on Mac OS X.
  • Various bug fixes.

  1. I wish Doh123 would update his/her Wineskin version so we don’t get that “-10810” error code when we try to double-click a wrapper on Mavericks.

  2. ?? Ihave been out of wineskin for a bit, but when I created the banished and Driver Parallel Lines wrappers, I has no trouble with errors.

When does this happen? You did set in your sucurity settings of your Mac that you allow “all applications” (General tab) It is a “security” option of Mac OSX but most of all a way to dominate the application market, they want you to buy everything from the app store. They get more and more money wolves and want to dominate with their own apps. Thats sad.

  3. This isn’t an issue with gatekeeper, this is a mavericks issue. I had it too, if I made new wrappers and put them on my desktop, I couldnt open them, and came up with the same error. You have to right click and activate wineskin from the inside app. Im pretty sure Doh knows about it, so it is only a matter of time….

  4. Mmmm…haven’t encoutered that issue yet…. Maybe because 2 of of my Macs are still on Mountain Lion and haven’t created many wrappers on my Mavericks iMac :P
