Wartales for Mac

There has been a whole list of awesome games added to Porting Kit past weekend, but we will start this post with the first one: Wartales for Mac! In Wartales you lead a group of mercenaries on a dangerous quest for riches and recognition in a medieval world ravaged by destitution and greed, recruiting new companions with numerous unique specializations, skill sets, weapon preferences and personalities. You can obtain the game on GOG.com, and this is the version I tested.

About the Port:
The game requires at least Mac OS Catalina and works great on Apple Silicon Macs and very nicely on Intel Based High End Macs. I tested it on my Intel Based MacBook Pro 2019 and my M1 Apple Silicon MacBook pro, and was very pleased to play this game without issues. I was tempted to play on, but I have to be spare the time for porting other new cool games from which the list is long :)

Basic Porting Kit (5) Install Instructions GOG games:
1. Download the Wartales “offline backup setup” file(s) into your download folder.
2. Always read the “notes” of the game description first for additional steps!
3. Go to the library server tab in Porting Kit and select the game you want to install and click “Install”
4. Porting Kit will create the wrapper and locate your setup file in your download folder
5. The installation of the game will start, run through the install wizard.
6. After installation, exit the installer (don’t run launch the game).
7. Porting kit will say it has finished successfully.
8. Go to your local library tab and select the game and click “play”!
9. Enjoy the game!
