First popular title which I found works in CX22.1 beta…Anno 1404 History Edition!
As you may have read in the previous blog post regarding the first Crossover 22.1 beta, there are some interesting changes. So I went on, on some testing and I am happy to announce to that Anno 1404 – History Edition (using Ubisoft Connect) is working in CX22.1. This is great news because the actual Anno 1404 Gold was crashing regularly after a time of playing because of memory limits (the solutions regarding patch files don’t really work in wine). The History Edition which is 64bit and hasn’t this problem, so this is really welcoming news :)
CX22.1 is planned to be released in Februari and the CX22.1 for Porting Kit will follow a couple of weeks later if all goes well. Meanwhile I will do more testing and let you guys/girls know if I get more stuff working in the new CX22.1.
